Lead Generation
This refers to the key introductory phase of the sales process: identitying and engaging with the correct party or parties within the target organisation. Lead generation may be carried out by Afferent telesales personnel; alternatively, clients may have already generated leads themselves, from a trade show for example.

Lead Qualification
Following on immediately from the above, qualification involves engaging with new prospects to clearly establish that they are in fact potential customers for your product. Typically detailed notes are added to a contact managment system indicating any and all issues relating to the prospect's willingness and ability to purchase (and/or reasons for the lack of same).

Appointment Setting
In most cases, this is the end point for the involvment of Afferent staff as the sales process typically reverts back in house once meetings begin. For our higher tech clientele providing high tickcet solutions, Afferent's role is really about getting our clients' own salespeople in front of the right prospects: fully qualified and ready to do business.

Consultancy
Afferent prefers to provide consultancy services coupled with an engagement in our clients' telesales and telemarketing endeavours. (See the next 2 items below). On occasion, we will offer consultancy services alone to firms who already have sufficient necessary salesforce muscle to effect the necessary changes.

Telesales: Outbound
In almost all cases, the outbound telesales services sales offered by Afferent involve lead generation, qualification and appointment setting as explainded above (with or without list building & verification).

Inbound telesales and telemarketing can vary a good deal but most commonly we work with clients on the immediate follow up to specific media campaigns.

Direct Sales
As noted above, the end game for Afferent personnel is most often a properly qualified meeting whereas direct sales properly speaking refers to an actual sale being made. Occasionally, if required perhaps for specific “lower ticket” sales, Afferent personnel may take charge of the full sales process and actually close out the sale.
